Flashlights in the Dark
Flashlights combines choir with a distributed sound-and-light instrument: singers’ smartphones and a Mac conductor console coordinate preloaded audio and light cues over a dedicated local network. Commissioned by the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison, it brings choral performance and custom software into one project. Performance and software arrangements require composer coordination.
