Common Mind

Common Mind brings percussion ensemble, choir, brass, tablas, alto saxophone, solo voice and electronics into a three-movement collaboration. Commissioned by Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras, the work moves from respect for oneself to respect for others and humanity. Its movements are Blink of an Eye, Golden Rule and Song of People; the listening excerpt represents the second movement only.
